Pan-Tilt-Zoom(PTZ) Camera Interface
Using AKCP's PTZ camera interface cable, you can connect up to 4 cameras to the sensorProbe8Linux, or 3 external cameras to the cameraProbe8. The cameras should have a RS485 interface - up to four cameras connect to one RJ45 port. Once connected, the cameras may be configured via the web interface. You can view live streaming video, move the cameras, and set up software motion detection rules to generate alarms.

The interface cable connects an RJ45 port on the sensorProbe to a RS485 bus; up to four PTZ cameras can then be connected to this bus. When a camera is connected to the RS485 bus, the sensorProbe will auto detect the camera, and it will display the output of the device on the web interface.

Once connected via AKCP's interface cable, the cameras are fully integrated with our advanced Sensor Notification Wizard. Using the web interface, you can set up the cameras to take pictures when an alarm is generated by a particular sensor, and using our advanced features, you can make the camera point in a certain direction depending on which sensor triggered the alarm. For example, if a security sensor fitted to a door or window triggers an alarm, you can have one of the cameras automatically point at that sensor and record images.

An advanced software motion detection algorithm is available on the sensorProbe8/cameraProbe, enabling each camera to generate alarm conditions when motion is detected. This feature is easy to set up via our web interface.

New features on the sP8Linux and cP8 allow advanced functionality - you can record streaming video to a local hard disc, generate picture logs before and after alarms are triggered and using FTP you can transfer pictures to remote directory, such as a web server. You can send video messages to mobile devices and you can login to the sensorProbe, view and control your cameras via the internet, and even from your web-enabled portable devices.

Note that this device is only available with our Linux based systems - the sensorProbe8L and the cameraProbe8.
