One of the key features of AKCP's Local and Remote Solutions is buffered file transfers. When interruptions to network communication occur, all Sensor, CCTV and Personnel information is saved locally on the base unit. All of this information is then automatically sent to AKCP's Central Management Software when full network connectivity has been restored.

Remote Site Management
Multiple securityProbe's in different locations can be controlled from the probeManager interface in the AKCess Pro Server application, all aimed at giving you added peace of mind that your remote telecoms locations are secure and operational.
Simply by adding a range of securityProbe or sensorProbe IP's you can 'Get' or 'Send' Configuration, Notification and Firmware Updates to all of the probes in your distributed network.

The backbone to each of your telecoms locations is the securityProbe, a sophisticated unit with interfaces that allow you to set parameters for monitoring temperature, humidity, water leakage, motion detection, door security and importantly generator fuel levels.
As well as environmental monitoring the securityProbe also lets you add up to 4 outdoor weatherproof IR cameras for CCTV surveillance purposes so you can see what is happening even if you cannot physically be there. The securityProbe integrates with a wide variety of intelligent sensors giving you great flexibility in building a complete monitoring and control environment to match your exact Telecom Site requirements.
Distributed storage and review of the pictures, graphing and sensor events on the securityProbe is easy. Everything is saved locally with up to 32 GigaBytes of local flash storage available.
A great feature of all AKCP products is their ability to connect to the AKCess Pro Server. This effectively creates mass storage capabilities limited only to specifications of the Server Storage.
The securityProbe is a highly intelligent local control device with interfaces that allow you to set parameters for monitoring and control of temperature, humidity, generator fuel levels and run time, voltage status, battery health etc. No other software or hardware is required.

All of the AKCP sensors can be tied to notification actions that are setup on the securityProbe’s built in IP based web interface. Notifications are sent automatically when their pre-set thresholds are reached. No other hardware or software is required. SMS, MMS and Voice call alerts can be sent automatically from the unit using a GSM modem.
It is quite common for these remote Telecom sites to not have access to any network (LAN or WAN) due to their remote locations. The only access possible is then via a GPRS network through GSM USB modems.
The EDGE 180M GSM USB modem is a third party modem that can be connected to the securityProbe on board USB port allowing for the real time status of the unit and sensors to be pushed out at pre-set intervals. This modem has been fully tested and is offered as an accessory by AKCess Pro.
The GSM modem allows the data from the unit and of all the sensors to periodically (any preset time required) be sent directly to web servers. This is performed using an HTTP GET/POST through the "heartbeat" message feature as a script.
Intelligent Sensors
The internal temperature and humidity of the equipment cabinet or storage container at the remote sites can be monitored using AKCP's single port dual temperature \ humidly sensor. Alerts can be sent if preset thresholds are reached.
Water leaks can be detected in the equipment cabinet or storage container at the remote sites then this condition can be included in the notification alerts sent from the unit.
Weatherproof Outdoor Motion Detector
A very important requirement at these remote sites is security to reduce theft and damage so the outdoor weatherproof beam type motion detectors are an important part of the package.
These sensors can easily be mounted outside to form a secure perimeter so that you can be alerted if the access gate is compromised or access to the radio tower has been breached. This sensor can also trigger the siren / strobe sensor described below.
These motion sensors can be ordered in a single and up to a four beam type depending on the requirement or budget. The motion sensor above has 4 motion detector beams.
Monitor and receive alerts if the access door to the remote sites equipment cabinet or storage container is opened also triggering the siren / strobe sensor.
An integral part of most remote telecoms locations is the backup power generator and a common problem is accurately monitoring the fuel level for that generator. The AKCess Pro Fuel Level Sensor is an Ultrasonic type liquid level sensor that overcomes this issue and is used to measure the fuel level in the site generator fuel storage tank.
This sensor can be connected to any one of the securityProbe's RJ-45 Intelligent Sensor ports enabling the system to continuously monitor the amount of fuel remaining. it can be configured to send normal notifications when the fuel level reaches 3/4 and 1/2 tank, and send critical alerts when fuel level drops down to 1/4 and 1/8 of a tank.
An example of what this looks like when it is setup on the securityProbe’s web interface is shown in the screen shot below.
This sensor can be used to detect fuel theft or leakage by detecting a drop in fuel level while the engine is off or if the fuel level drops too quickly when the engine's running. Unlike other fuel level sensors, this unit is extremely robust and easy to configure ensuring accurate fuel readings all the time regardless of environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity.
The AC Voltage Sensor is an On or Off switch type sensor can be connected to the power output from the remote sites backup generators allowing the conditions of the AC power to be monitored and receive alerts when the generator is on or off.
The Isolated DC Voltage sensor is capable of monitoring the amount of DC voltage that is present so not only can this sensor be used to monitor the output of the remote sites backup battery voltages but will also monitor and send alerts if the voltage is on or off.
The PMS or Power Monitor Sensor can be used to monitor the amount of AC Voltage that is being supplied to the equipment and preset thresholds can trigger alerts if voltage levels are incorrect.
The IO-Digital8 only takes up a single RJ-45 sensor port on the securityProbe base unit but has 8 separate 5VDC dry contact inputs or outputs.
This sensor will not only will allow you to automatically control equipment such as cooling fans by linking the output relays to other sensors but you can also connect the outputs from other equipment to any of the eight separate inputs.
For example, you can connect your dry contact condition output of your backup generator, then use our Time Tracking feature already built in to the securityProbe’s web interface to keep track of the amount of time the generator has been running for preventive maintenance reasons.
Digital Universal Mount IR Outdoor Weatherproof Camera
Video security is monitored via the AKCP cameras. These pictures are then uploaded to the customers ftp server for instantaneous viewing at their central command and control center.
Up to 4 of these IR night vision weatherproof high quality cameras can be connected to a single securityProbe base unit.
Link all your access points to video surveillance using the AKCess Pro Universal Mount Digital Camera linked to the securityProbe device or AKCess Pro Server application to either record continuously or when triggered by any pre-defined action.

Access Control » Personnel Notifications
There may be occasions when you need to restrict access or even block personnel from sensitive areas or remote site locations. This is especially true when many engineers require access to servers or other business critical equipment.
With AKCP Server, it's possible to automate this Action should access be attempted by a blocked user, or simply a user who does not have the sufficient Access Permissions.
Access Rights can be enabled or disabled to restrict access to a single user after a specific date. This is particularly useful in maintenance situations or for guest user scenarios.
All of this can be monitored and administered remotely using AKCP Server Server and Client Software.
For Example : "I want to send an Email when unauthorized personnel try to access my secure data room."
With AKCP Server, this process is easy and intuitive. The access attempt by the unauthorized personnel will generate an email as set up in your parameters with details of the location, time, date plus detailed photographs of the event.
