Hello AKCP,
My customer is asking to do the APS backup to a remote storage drive, not to the same storage where the AKCPro Server software is installed, how can we do it?
Thank you in advance

Dear AKCP Customer,
The APS supports saving the backup to a remote drive.
The trick is that the network drive has to be mapped as a drive letter.
After that it will show up in the APS menu where it asks to select the backup location.
APS doesn’t directly support using network paths (for example \\server\sharedfolder) but if it’s mapped as a drive letter, it will work.
Run this wizard to map the drive (under Computer or by searching from Start menu for “map network drive”):
Also, we highly suggest you setup the automated backups on the APS and also run the backup manually prior to upgrading the software to a new released version on our website.
Thanks for your question.
Best regards,
AKCP Support Team
