This device is meant to measure the presence or the absence of airflow.
The AKCP Airflow Sensor is designed for critical systems that rely on a steady flow of cooling air to dissipate heat. If this airflow is interrupted, system reliability and safety are immediately jeopardized.
Positioned directly in the air stream, this device reliably monitors the presence or absence of airflow. It is strictly an On/Off alarm sensor designed to trigger alerts during fan or AC failures, or to detect airflow in areas where it should not be present. (Note: This is not a precision measuring instrument. For precise volume or speed measurements, please use the AKCP Air Velocity Sensor.)
Monitoring and Alerts The sensor’s condition can be seamlessly managed through the sensorProbe+ web interface or via SNMP (both polling and critical traps). When an alarm condition is met, detailed alerts—including the fault description and exact location—can be automatically dispatched via email or SMS/pager.
Key Features:
Reliable Detection: Accurate, cost-effective On/Off airflow alarm signaling.
Plug-and-Play: Auto-detected by the sensorProbe+ base unit with full autosense capabilities, including a disconnect alarm.
Visual Indicators: Dual LEDs indicate active airflow status and confirm a secure connection to the base unit.
Centralized Management: Sensor data is graphically displayed within the sensorProbe+ web interface or aggregate multiple units on Quicklime.
Flexible Deployment: Powered directly by the sensorProbe+ (+5V DC). The standard cable can be extended up to 60 feet using AKCP CABXX extension cables or standard CAT5.
