Dry Contact Sensors
The AKCP Dry Contact sensor provides seamless integration with burglar alarms, fire alarms, and any other third-party equipment requiring monitoring via the sensorProbe+. Highly versatile and user-configurable, these general-purpose I/O pins can detect a wide range of inputs, including UPS status, security system alerts, and HVAC conditions.
Key Features:
Dual I/O Functionality: Pins can be configured as either an input or an output.
Configurable Output: When functioning as an output, the sensor can source up to 20mA. Output voltage is software-selectable between 0V (Low) and 5V (High).
State Retention (SNMP): To ensure no critical events are missed, input switches latch onto error conditions. If an input encounters a critical state, it retains that status until read via SNMP, guaranteeing the event is reported before the sensor resets to normal.
Flexible Input Detection: Easily monitor the open or closed state of external switches. Combined with third-party sensors, input pins are ideal for monitoring door and window contacts, water incursion, and other critical environmental variables.
