Battery Health Sensor
Monitoring the voltage, temperature and current load for batteries and DC power systems.
The Battery Monitoring Sensor monitors an individual cell or bank of batteries, as well as DC power systems like solar panel arrays. With this sensor, you can monitor :-
- Temperature of the battery terminals
- Voltage output from batteries or panel array
- Current load on batteries or charging circuit
Typical applications would be for monitoring a battery bank, solar panel array or generator starter batteries.
Product Code : BATTMON

This can be used as a diagnostic tool to identify a battery that needs replacing or a problem with the alternator or starter motor.
For example, a decreasing crank current may be a sign that the battery although still having sufficient voltage does not have enough power output to crank the engine, resulting in a failure to start situation.
Monitoring of your complete solar panel system from end to end is possible by deploying multiple BATTMON sensors.
Solar Panel Array
Monitor the voltage and current output from your panels. Identify if they are running at less than optimum efficiency, for example, if they are dirty and need cleaning.
Battery Stack
Monitor the output of voltage and current from the battery stack, as well as battery temperatures.
Charge Status
By comparing the battery current load and the solar panel charging load you can identify if your system is providing sufficient charging power, or if you are draining your batteries, and if so at what rate they are being consumed.
