Spot Water Sensor
The Spot Water Sensor is an advanced microprocessor based design capable of detecting distilled water. Many water sensors work by detecting a drop in resistance when water bridges two electrodes. Since distilled water doesn’t readily conduct electricity, these sensors fail to register its presence. These resistance types rely on electrolytes present in the water, therefore being unable to detect distilled water due to it’s high resistance.
The entire circuit is encased in epoxy giving it a waterproof finish. The sensor is able to withstand being submerged in water for prolonged periods. The sensor has an SNMP OID for monitoring across a network, and will therefore report its critical condition at anytime before returning to its normal state.

Notifications can be sent to you via SNMP traps, or E-mail (sensorProbe base units) or using any of the wide range of alerts available on AKCP base units.

Spot Water Sensor Accessory
The water sensor stand allows you to position the spot water detector either 12mm or 24mm above floor level. This means you can place the sensor in areas that are expected to be wet, such as a drip tray, but only alert when water level reaches the 12mm or 24mm height.
This accessory is made in stainless steel and can be installed in permanently damp environments without rusting.
