AKCP Debuts Configuration AI for Quicklime DCIM, Replacing Complex Menus with Natural Language at OCP EMEA Summit

AKCP, the world’s oldest and largest manufacturer of networked environmental, power, and security monitoring solutions, today announced the launch of Configuration AI, a natural language interface for their Quicklime DCIM Digital Twin software. This new feature fundamentally changes how operators interact with, configure, and extract value from data center infrastructure management tools.
Configuration AI joins sensorCFD™ AI, Video AI and Configuration AI, Capacity AI and Asset AI technologies in a suite of intelligent, next-generation DCIM features being showcased at the Open Compute Project (OCP) EMEA Summit in Barcelona, running from April 29th to 30th.
The End of the Steep Learning Curve
Typically, mastering a comprehensive DCIM platform requires extensive training, sifting through manuals, and memorizing menu systems. Configuration AI eliminates this barrier to entry. Rather than spending time learning how to navigate the software, operators only need to understand what the software is capable of doing.
By leveraging Large Language Models (LLM), Configuration AI allows users to direct the system using conversational language.
Conversational Command and Control
With Configuration AI, executing multi step tasks is as simple as typing a request. The system understands the context to perform the necessary software configurations.
For example, a facility manager can enter the following prompt:
“What was the average temperature on the inlet of all my racks in data hall 1 over the past 24 hours? Create a virtual sensor that shows this value, graphs the data, add this to a new desktop called ‘Rack Average Inlet Temperature’.”
Configuration AI interprets the request, retrieves the specified historical data, builds the custom virtual sensor, generates the graphical visualization, and organizes it onto a desktop. A process that would traditionally require clicking through dozens of individual settings, menus, and graph configurations is executed instantly.
