No, we do not recommend you trying to connect any of our AKCP sensors including the temperature and dual temp humidity sensors though patch panels or using the RJ-45 couplers to extend them. You may find that this works, however it will be very inconsistent and this is due to the signal strength from the sensor to the base unit. The resistance of the extra connectors in a patch panel, or couplers is often enough to prevent the sensor from working.

Case Study: AKCP Power Monitoring for Colocation Data Centers
Salam offer co location data center services. AKCPs dealer in Saudi Arabia, SETRA, successfully implemented the installation of a power monitoring system using in Line Power Meters (ILPM) to provide billable grade accuracy. This allows Salam to accurately bill their clients who are renting space in the co-location data center facilities.
The requirement was for monitoring of 30 racks. The ILPM were connected to the AKCP sensorProbeX+ devices which provide networked monitoring via a built in user interface and SNMP to their existing network management platform.
